Lumbar Spinal Decompression Therapy
Lumbar spinal decompression is a sophisticated form of computerized traction. Lumbar Decompression therapy creates a negative gravity or suction effect at the disc level. This suction effect causes the disc material that may be extruded to be sucked back into the center of the disc away from the nerve root. The Back Pain Center LLC is now on our 3rd generation of spinal decompression system. Our present decompression system, the 3D Active Tract is the most sophisticated decompression system allowing the therapist or chiropractor to put the body into 54 different positions maximizing the chances for success. Go to the spinal decompression tab on the home page to learn more about spinal decompression.
Cervical Spinal Decompression Therapy
Cervical Spinal Decompression is a sophisticated form of computerized traction specifically for the neck disk disorders. Like the lumbar decompression, the cervical decompression creates the same suction effect and is extremely effective in the treatment of neck and arm pain causes by disc herniation and or disc degeneration. Treatment time for the cervical and lumbar decompression can range from 10 to 20 minutes.
Chiropractic plays a large role in the treatment of low back pain and or low back related leg pain commonly known as sciatica. Vertebral misalignments, which can place abnormal pressure on the spinal nerves, are called subluxations. Subluxations must be manipulated back to their proper position in order to relieve the symptoms caused by these misalignments. Chiropractic Physicians are highly trained in the diagnosing and treatment of spinal subluxation. Dr Gigante, a Chiropractic Physician and the founder of The Back Pain Center LLC, has taught post graduate courses from California to Australia on advanced procedures in the treatment of low back pain. Spinal subluxation, being only one of the many different causes of back pain, is what led Dr. Gigante to develop the first multiprofessional center specializing in the treatment of low back pain.
The Back Pain Center LLC has a comprehensive Physical Therapy program and we treat all orthopedic disorders from shoulder disorder to foot pain. Our therapists are all highly trained particularly in the treatment of low back pain. Our patients work with the same therapist throughout their care. Physical therapy incorporates specific exercises, stretches, and modalities such as ultrasound, muscle stimulation, laser, iontophoresis to not only bring relief to our patient but to stabilize and strengthen the problem area.
The cold laser has gained recent FDA approval for the non-surgical treatment of neck and shoulder complaints and is being used widely in the NFL and by the USPS tour de France team chiropractor.
Medical Pain Management
Patients requiring narcotics to deal with chronic pain resulting from failed back surgeries, trauma or where spinal degeneration is too advanced to correct need to see a Medical Pain management specialist. Most medical pain management Doctors are usually Physiatrists or Anesthesiologists
Designed to aid in the treatment of pain or injuries, orthopedic massage offers a conceptual approach to the management of soft tissue spasm and dysfunctions. The Neuromuscular (Trigger Point Therapy) massage is geared toward the trigger points of the body, which are highly sensitive areas in the muscle that cause localized pain and/or refer pain to other areas of the body. The therapist applies concentrated finger pressure to these points to break the cycles of spasm and pain. Numerous research studies conducted in the United States, Europe, and Asia have documented that, far beyond simply “feeling good”, massage therapy has an impressive range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits.
